Apacer's ARES line of high-performance memory series designed to be used by overclockers and computer enthusiasts has just received a new member in the form of an 8GB DDR3 kit that is clocked at 2133MHz.

The company states that this ARES kit was developed by using eight 256Mb memory chips for each of the two modules, which were screened and tested under diversified parameters of voltage and time sequences to ensure their stability at 2133MHz.

The result is a kit that runs as the now usual CL9-11-9-27 timings while requiring no more than 1.65V.

In order to cool the memory chips installed, the ARES modules are fitted with a specially designed heatsink that is connected to a copper heatpipe.

This contains a heat transfer liquid that turns into vapor by absorbing the heat produced by the memory chips and transfers the vapor onto the large red heat dissipation fin through capillarity and phase transition technology.

Apacer's memory kit is compatible with a wise series on Intel platforms, including all the current LGA 1155 Sandy Bridge motherboards.

“The newly-unveiled ARES DDR3-2133 8GB dual channel memory kit provides the high speed and high capacity on the Intel P67 and Z68 Sandy Bridge platforms and is backwards compatible with existing the P55 platform,” reads the company's official statement.

Apacer hasn't provided us with any information regarding the release date or the pricing of these modules.

The company isn't however alone when it comes to fabricating DDR3-2133 8GB memory kits as both Mushkin and G.Skill sell such solutions, while Crucial is expected to join them this fall.

Furthermore, G.Skill also manufactures a 1.5V 8GB DDR3-2133 memory kit that retails for $99.99, the only downside being that it has somewhat looser timings (CL11-11-11-30).
