Rovio, the company behind the increasingly popular Angry Birds game, has just announced the availability of

an update for its Angry Birds Rio title through the Android Market.

The mobile game, released on Android devices only several weeks ago, got the said update last week in the Amazon Appstore, and was said to receive it through the Android Market as well on Friday, but already got the new flavor in Google's app store.

With the new software update, enthusiast would receive 30 new beach-themed levels, with more monkeys included into the mix, as well as with a lot of sand, it seems.

Moreover, the update also brings new items into the mix, including a golden fruit and more trophies to earn, enhancing the experience users would receive from the game even more.

The new episode of Angry Birds Rio is called Beach Volleyball, and its availability was already announced through Rovio's official Twitter account.

As stated above, the update was already made available through Amazon, and those who purchased the game through this storefront can head over there to get the new release as well.

In related news, we learn that the Angry Birds game already topped 200 million downloads, which is quite an impressive number, one should agree.

Rovio released Angry Birds on iOS a while ago, and brought it to Android in fall 2010 for free, though ad supported.

Along with the new Angry Birds Rio game, a paid flavor of the original game was made available for Android users not too long ago, also via the Android Market.

Rovio is also working hard on the delivery of a version of the game for users of Microsoft's Windows Phone 7 platform, which should arrive on June 29th, but it's uncertain whether it would be paid or free.

Until that happens, however, users of Android devices can enjoy both the original game and the Angry Birds Rio version from the Android Market for free. The latter is available here
