Angry Birds Rio, the new flavor of last year's popular mobile game from Rovio, is now available for download on devices running under Symbian, as well as for those based on webOS.

The new Angry Birds Rio was made available for download for handsets running under Google's Android operating system and for Apple's iOS devices a few weeks ago, and now can be enjoyed on more mobile phones.

The action in the new mobile game version is placed in Rio, where the birds were taken after being kidnapped. The pigs are no longer part of the game, though the original Angry Birds are still there, determined to save themselves and newly made friends from the hands of kidnappers.

“What happens when everybody’s favorite fierce fowl get caged and shipped to Rio? They get very angry,” the game's description in the Ovi Store reads.

“In Angry Birds Rio, the original Angry Birds are kidnapped and taken to the magical city of Rio de Janeiro, where they eventually escape their captors and set out to save their friends, Blu and Jewel – two rare macaw s and the stars of the upcoming Fox motion picture, Rio.

“Angry Birds Rio will pair the physics-based gameplay of the original game with unique twists based on the film.”

The game features a price tag of $1.99, and there is no light flavor available for those who might want to try it for free before making a purchase.

The new Angry Birds Rio mobile game comes with 60 levels, two episodes, new achievements, and with Special Hidden fruits. More new features should arrive during the ongoing year, it seems.

“Put your Angry Birds skills to the ultimate test in a spectacular boss fight! The most exciting of avian adventures continues! Help the Angry Birds to free their friends and defeat the evil smugglers! Stay tuned for further fun episodes,” the game is described on Palm's website.
