As American Idol runner-up is still coyly avoiding certain questions on his personal life, rumor in the industry has it he’s doing so with a pretty good reason, since he has already landed a Rolling Stone cover on this account. A well-placed source is telling PageSix that Lambert will come out with the next issue of the popular magazine, which will also include an exclusive interview and cover plus photo spread.

If true, the move would not be anything out of the ordinary since many other pop stars and actors have made this type of statement via magazine interviews, mostly with Rolling Stone or People. However, it is still believed that chances of this not happening are pretty good since Lambert has constantly insisted his orientation should not be an issue with his fans and the public in general, for whom his music alone should speak.

The PageSix insider reveals that Lambert, who came to be known as Glambert on the eighth season of American Idol because of his overt taste for the dramatic, has finally reached that place where he feels he can talk freely about anything, including the much-mediated issue of his personal life, which is why he has decided to do the “coming out” cover. Moreover, adds the spy, one reason for which he has postponed this for so long was because “he did not wish to have issues” while a contestant on American Idol – now that the competition is over, he can move on to the next stage in his life.

Speaking of stages and moving on, fans must already know that, when otherwise not preparing shocking interviews and magazine covers, Adam Lambert is also working hard to take the music industry by storm with his music album, a feat that most seem to believe he’s more than capable of pulling off. Speaking recently with the media, Adam revealed that, while he would hate it if his music was easily categorized, he could describe his album as ideally a “rock-pop-electronic-dance thing.”

“My view of the record industry is that it’s a little too specific lately. The labels tend to try to put one box around every artist and keep them in one genre. We don’t have to go about it that way. Obviously, we want the album to have a cohesive sound. But I think it can kind of be a collection of different styles with me at the center of it [as] the common thread. I don’t want to do one specific genre. I’m more about fusion.” the 27-year-old singer was telling the media a couple of days ago about his plans for the future.
