Brings new services to the area

Wireless carrier AT&T announced today the launch of its AT&T U-verse services in Springfield, offering customers in certain areas of Fremont Hills, Springfield, Battlefield, Nixa and Republic, the possibility to enjoy the benefits of AT&T U-verse. According to the company, users in the area will receive access to AT&T U-verse TV, AT&T U-verse High Speed Internet and AT&T U-verse Voice, so as to enjoy a new choice when it comes to television and communications services.

At the same time, the company revealed that the AT&T U-verse services, which came over AT&T’s advanced Internet Protocol (IP) network, would prove a great option over cable, given the enhance experience they could offer to users. AT&T U-verse is meant to bring together TV, broadband, home phone and AT&T wireless services in a single bill, so that users can benefit from a new level of integration, convenience and control.

At the same time, the company notes that its AT&T U-verse TV ranked “Highest in Residential Television Service Satisfaction in the South Region Two Years in a Row,” in J.D. Power and Associates 2008 and 2009 Residential Television Service Provider Satisfaction Studies. Moreover, the carrier states that AT&T U-verse comes to Missouri as the legislation in the area provides an environment through which new video providers are encouraged to deliver their services so as to compete against cable providers.

“Cable has been the only game in town for too long, and we’re excited to change that today in Springfield,” said Nancy Garvey, Greater Midwest Region vice president and general manager, AT&T Missouri. “We know Springfield customers want a better choice to break free from cable, and AT&T U-verse is the answer. And we’ll continue to make U-verse TV even better for customers with regular upgrades and new cool applications that enhance your TV experience.”

What users can expect to receive via AT&T U-verse, the carrier notes, includes U-verse TV with a wide range of features (U-verse TV Multiview, a High Definition (HD) channel lineup, AT&T U-bar, recorded programs management and playback from a single DVR, sharing between PC and U-verse TV with Media Share), the AT&T U-verse High Speed Internet services (with downstream speeds up to 18 Mbps), AT&T U-verse Voice (with calling features that combine with your AT&T U-verse TV, broadband and wireless services), and a wide range of TV, Internet and Voice packages combinations.
