The nominations for the 2010 American Music Awards have just been announced and, despite the fact that he’s among the biggest artists of today, with album sales that few others can match, Adam Lambert did not get even one single mention.

Fans are already furious – and not afraid to say so on dedicated forums, because this is the second time the industry snubs him, after the MTV’s Video Music Awards did the same this summer.

As The Examiner points out, if there’s anyone out there who deserves a nomination, then that person is Adam since he contributed heavily to the music business with his “For Your Entertainment” debut album, the second best selling album of 2009.

“The list of nominees just came out and well, his name isn’t on it. Doesn’t matter if he contributed strongly to the music business, he didn’t get even one nomination,” Examiner writes.

Those who did get nominations are Eminem, Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Ke$ha. But not Adam Lambert, who is undeniably the most talented artist to ever break onto the music scene, says the same report.

“Sadly, this isn’t such a great thing as Adam Lambert is an extraordinary talent and has been rocking the International scene with his Glam Nation tour recently,” Examiner points out.

One reason for the snub could be his performance of last year, when he got a bit carried away and kissed a male member of his entourage and then did a couple of obscene gestures.

This could mean that the big bosses at ABC and CBS don’t want him on stage because they continue to uphold the ban against him for something he’s already explained more than once.

“In his defense, if Ke$ha, the talentless Lady Gaga wannabe can be nominated for an AMA, then Lambert should too. According to the AMAs release, there are a variety of reasons of nominations,” Examiner says.

These include, as we also informed you earlier today, chart rating sales, airplay on radio, television and the Internet, video viewing and even activity on social networks.

For the record, Adam checks them all – yet he’s still not included among the nominees.

“Nothing here says anything about angering executives or being over the top. It isn’t right that Lambert was overlooked. Hopefully his fans will point this out,” Examiner says.

So far, Adam has yet to address this. ABC, the network that will air the awards live on November 21, remains similarly tight-lipped.

On the other hand, MTV did the same in August when the VMA noms came out, snubbing Adam completely, and it didn’t even present a reason for it – so expecting ABC and CBS to do so is probably redundant at this point.

To see who did make the cut for the 2010 AMAs, here is the complete list of nominations.
