Because he’s proven that he can be completely unpredictable when it comes to live performances, which makes him potentially very controversial, a scheduled concert of Adam Lambert for Good Morning America on ABC has been canceled. While the decision might make sense for the singer himself, fans are not happy about it – and they’re extremely vocal about it with a new Twitter topic, as Examiner also informs.

We were also telling you a few hours ago that Lambert’s live concert on GMA was canceled on grounds of his edgy (too edgy, as far as ABC is concerned) performance at this year’s American Music Awards. In the meantime, the singer has been booked for another live gig, at rival network CBS, which has promised fans it will air a concert and an interview with Lambert on The Early Show.

Still, fans are unhappy about the double standards in the industry, as promoted by ABC, they say. “Adam Lambert supporters have taken to Twitter to express their anger at ABC. A Twitter hashtag called Shame on you ABC, #Shameonyouabc. The ‘Shame on you abc’ has gotten so much support that it quickly became a trending topic today. Many Twitter users are accusing ABC of being homophobic after they pulled Adam Lambert’s scheduled Good Morning America appearance tomorrow,” Examiner says of how fans are reacting to news of the cancelation.

Understandably, CBS is not missing this opportunity to milk the controversy for all it’s worth, with a recent post on its website announcing that, where ABC did not have what it took to know real talent when it saw it, CBS does. “Adam Lambert’s racy American Music Awards performance may have been too much for Good Morning America, so he is bringing his act to The Early Show,” CBS proudly says in the aforementioned post.

The #ShameOnYouABC topic is currently being massively pushed by gossip blogger Perez Hilton, one of Lambert’s most fervent supporters, while also the highest profile celebrity blogger at the moment. Adam himself has not made any comment regarding the fans’ backlash to ABC’s reaction, saying only earlier that he understood where the network’s decision was coming from.
