Robert Pattinson Prisoner in His Hotel Room

The madness around “Twilight,” the latest and hottest take on the adversities true love can overcome, has reached such heights that main star Robert Pattinson is left with no other choice than barricade himself in his hotel room. Jack Huston, who’s been cast as Royce King II in the third installment of the franchise, “Eclipse,” says Pattinson can no longer deal with this amount of exposure, as quoted by Celebrity Gossip.

According to the actor, a recent addition to the cast of “Eclipse,” things on set have been mad. Paparazzi and fans are constantly lurking around the set in the hope of catching at least a glimpse of the British star and, given that he’s more of a man who likes to keep to himself, Robert sees no other option to avoid this than to stay locked up in his hotel room. If true, this would, of course, explain why there are so few paparazzi shots of him.

“I don’t think he gets to hang out with many people because he’s sort of jailed to his room. He can’t leave without being follow[ed] by a hundred people. There’s a price to fame. But hopefully he’s handling it okay.” Huston is quoted as saying. In other words, Pattinson is a prisoner of the paparazzi he so much dreads, because he feels they’re prying into his life and violating his privacy with every shot that they take of him walking down the street.

“Every time anyone from the cast emerges from the hotel they’re swarmed by paparazzi. He’s a prisoner of the paparazzi. It’s a nightmare. He almost never leaves the hotel except to go to the set. And when he does, the crew has to go great lengths to find ways to transport him from one location to another undetected. Because of the paparazzi, Rob has been unable to interact with his many fans.” another source says, as cited by the same e-zine.

As it’s already a known fact, Robert Pattinson doesn’t handle this much attention all that well. In a recent interview, the British actor admitted that he still couldn’t figure out how come “Twilight” came to be so big, while also revealing that his shyness often made him seem awkward with the media.
