The game sold more than 2.4 million units worldwide, so Monster Hunter has easily become one of the best known and successful series developed by Capcom. Previously released Monster Hunter Portable became Japan's top selling title for the PSP system in very little time from its launch, with an attach rate of about one game sold for every five systems in the country. Monster Hunter Portable 2nd has just released in Japan and is already following its predecessors footsteps. Now, Capcom plans to release this game as Monster Hunter Freedom 2 across PAL territories in September 2007.

In Monster Hunter Freedom (the first PSP installment of the series), players take on a variety of quests and conquer larger than life beasts either alone or with the aid of others. Customizing is a fun part, choosing the type of hair, face, voice and other various attributes players' personalized monster hunter will possess. They can also explore a hub village where they can sign up for various challenges ranging from retrieving a valuable egg from the nest of a menacing dragon to hunting down powerful creatures and much more.

With Monster Hunter Freedom 2, the epic hunt-or-be-hunted adventure continues with more content and options than ever before. The game builds on the PS2 Monster Hunter2 and contains 50% more content than the original Monster Hunter Freedom. In this unique action-adventure game, gamers increase their play skills as they battle through breath-taking environments while defeating bloodthirsty creatures.

What makes it a typically great Capcom title is that players can face a variety of quests alone even if the true spirit of Monster Hunter Freedom 2 comes from challenging others or playing with them cooperatively. Cooperative battles are available for up to four friends via wireless ad hoc mode foster team building and strategy for the ultimate battle of man vs. beast. You can fully customize your character, build up abilities with armor and weaponry as you make your way through hundreds of quests and if you get bored of them (fat chance), you can even download some more with the addition of infrastructure functionality.

Remember, Monster Hunter Freedom 2 launches across PAL territories in September 2007, for the PSP system.
