What about battery drainage?

Looks like Nintendo are not resting after their console hit it big, but they are thinking of further enhancing its features and gameplay possibilities. You know that one of the strong features of the Nintendo Wii is its wireless controller, the Wiimote. How about another wireless controller for the Wii? No, not a new controller, but a wireless version of the Nunchuck.

This is a rumor that is going round the web thanks to Verdicts, their unconfirmed source. This source reveals that Nintendo are currently working on a wireless version of the Nunchuck. Apparently, this comes as a reaction of many complaints for gamers, who think that the wire restricts their movement in games like Wii Boxing and Call of Duty 3.

Verdicts point out a very interesting fact, focusing on the device's name: "The Wii Nunchuck gets its name from the martial arts weapon, the ''Nunchucks'' because of the similarities in design; a chain/wire connects two heavier objects at either end. The wireless Nunchuck attachment will possibly undergo a name-change to make sense."

I'm not sure if the Wii Nunchuck will undergo a name change simply because it will become wireless. All who have played Nintendo Wii games with the Nunchuck are more than fond of this name and it would a wrong move on behalf of Nintendo to change it. If this speculation turns out to be true, and if they will indeed release a wireless Nunchuck, Nintendo will face with some serious issues, for example battery drainage. Considering Nintendo's innovative nature, some of you may not see this as an insurmountable obstacle.
