Nintendo Wii Sims Gets Terrifying Makeover

Probably many of you have experienced Sims on different platforms and found out that although it has the same name, it is an entirely different game. No problem, some might say, delighted with the PS2 , GBA or PSP look of the game.
But once you see the Wii version of Sims, you will be horrified, just like me.

If you hit the Sims 2 website, you will see that Wii version of Sims 2 will have an entirely different look. Just log on and decide for yourself if you like it or not. If you were to ask me, I would probably say that it reminds me of that killer doll Chucky (the one from Child's Play - a great movie by the way).

The Wii version of the Sims will be called "Boku Sim" or how GameSpot translates it "Town for Me and Sim". GameSpot also watched the Sims trailer and to them, the new Sims characters are "reminiscent of the Wii's cartoonish Mii avatars". The gameplay will be similar to PC and PlayStation versions, you will still get to build houses, create your own characters and explore the surroundings.

The Sims is among the most powerful franchises in the world, making its début in 2000 and selling more than 6 million copies. It is probably the best selling PC title in gaming history. They even created a special expansion pack for pets, entitled (surprise, surprise) Sims Pets. Personally, I don't like life simulation games; I prefer to interact with real people, but if this kind of game rubs you the right way, I guess there is nothing wrong with it…
