Lindsay Lohan is reportedly trying for the villain role in Zack Snyder’s “Superman: Man of Steel”

Amy Adams was cast as Lois Lane in Zack Snyder’s upcoming “Superman,” but Lindsay Lohan is not yet losing hope that she may land a role in the film. This week, she’s auditioning for the role of the villain, it has emerged.

A while back, reports online were saying that Lohan was pulling all the strings to get a part in “Superman: Man of Steel,” aware that she only had one more chance to make a comeback and convinced that this was it.

Snyder recently announced that Lois Lane would be played by Amy Adams of “The Fighter,” which means Lindsay’s plans to score that role went sour.

She’s yet to lose all hope, Radar Online has learned, since she’s reading for the villain part this week.

“Radar Online has learned Lohan, 24, will read for a role in the movie in front of producers sometime in the near future,” the e-zine writes.

Sources familiar with the production vouch that plans are already in place for a meeting this week, which should culminate in an audition for a major part.

“Lindsay plans to return from New York on Wednesday and meet with producers and read with an actor who is up for the role of Lex Luther,” says one spy.

Producers remain interested in casting Lindsay in the film as a villain, despite her legal problems and how badly her previous movies have been received by critics and the public alike.

“Lohan had wanted the role of Superman’s love-interest Lois Lane, but is said to be excited with the news that producers are still considering her for another gig in the much anticipated film, despite all her issues,” Radar says.

Speaking of issues, her pending court case could actually work against her, the e-zine argues, in that the date when production starts could coincide with the date when she has to head back to jail, if she’s found guilty on the grand theft charge.

“Superman: Man of Steel” starts shooting in Vancouver this November.

Not all is lost, though.

“Lindsay said she would be ecstatic to be part of the Superman movie... it’s a dream of hers,” Nathan Folks, a close friend of Lindsay’s says for the same publication.
