Report says Lindsay Lohan is court for the part of Sharon Tate in upcoming Charles Manson biopic

She may have lost the part in the much-hyped “Inferno,” but Lindsay Lohan could still have a good chance of playing an iconic movie star. A new report suggests she’s been approached for the part of Sharon Tate in an upcoming biopic on Charles Manson.

Smack in the middle of her attempt at getting her acting career off the ground again, Lindsay had to go to rehab.

When this happened, she was supposed to start shooting for “Inferno,” in which she had the part of Linda Lovelace.

Producers initially stuck by her but then, as her troubles got bigger, they dropped her and chose to have her replaced, which was seen as the final nail in the coffin that was Lohan’s acting career.

Not really so, TMZ says. Tyler Shields, the photographer who shot Lohan for the “Inferno” promos, is making his first movie – and he wants her for the leading part.

“Lindsay Lohan could soon be a famous murder victim – because TMZ has learned she’s been offered the role of Sharon Tate in an upcoming movie about Charles Manson,” the e-zine says.

“The movie’s called ‘Eyes of a Dreamer’ and is being produced by Brad Wyman... one of the guys who did ‘Monster’ with Charlize Theron,” TMZ further reports.

Shields not only got Lohan’s name to be considered for the part, but he’ll also be involved in the project.

“The part of Charles Manson will be played by celeb photographer Tyler Shields – whose work you might recognize – and get this... Tyler’s directing the whole shebang,” TMZ says.

As we speak, rumors online are already saying this could turn out to be a major disaster, because Lindsay has already wasted all her second chances.

If the Charles Manson biopic doesn’t happen or fails, there’s still some hope for those looking forward to see Lohan return to the big screen: this week, she’s supposed to meet with “Superman” producers to read for the part of the villain, Radar Online says.
