Mobile phone carrier Verizon Wireless is reportedly getting ready to bring to the market a new series of appealing devices as soon as may 26th, and the already announced LG Revolution might be among them.

The mobile phone should become the third Android-based smartphone that the wireless operator would make available on its LTE network.

The smartphone was unveiled to the world in early 2011 during the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, but no release date for it was announced until now.

According to some of the latest reports around the Internet, May 26th should be the day when this device brings Android to Verizon's LTE network, though nothing was confirmed on the matter for the time being.

Powered by Google's Android 2.2 Froyo operating system, the smartphone would join the already available HTC ThunderBolt and Samsung DROID Charge in Verizon's LTE offering.

When available for purchase, the new device would offer a 4.3-inch touchscreen display capable of providing a WVGA resolution, and with great performance capabilities courtesy of its 1GHz Snapdragon application processor.

The mobile phone would sport a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with support for HD video recording, complemented by a 1.3MP camera on the front, optimized for video calling.

The handset would also include a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space, and with a 16GB card included into the mix.

Moreover, users would enjoy Bluetooth 3.0 and WiFi capabilities with this device, in addition to the aforementioned 4G capabilities, as well as HDMI and DLNA support.

The specifications list of the new device would also include full HTML browsing, GPS receiver with support for various location-based services and applications, multimedia capabilities, or support for simultaneous voice and data connectivity on Verizon's LTE network.

Moreover, it would arrive with Bing Search on board, as well as with MyVerizon, VZ Navigator, support for Google Mobile Services like Gmail, YouTube or Android Market, and more.

No info on the price at which the new smartphone would be released on Verizon's network emerged for the time being, so stay tuned for more on this.
