HTC Sensation, the latest flagship mobile phone that Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation unveiled to the world, is nothing short of its name, and the price tag it might feature in certain markets around the world would reflect that.

This applies to the price tag at which it is listed at the moment at Amazon in Germany, namely €599 contract free.

When compared to the cost of other high-end devices on the market, such as the Samsung Galaxy S II, which goes for only €549, the price tag for Sensation might seem even higher.

Of course, the mobile phone packs great capabilities, backed by a lot of raw power, but the Samsung handset sports similar specs, and it is €50 cheaper.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the HTC Sensation arrives on the market with a large 4.3-inch touchscreen display, which can deliver a qHD (960 x 540 pixel) resolution.

Moreover, it packs a dual-core application processor inside, with reach core clocked in at 1.2GHz, which should provide users with great performance levels.

The specifications list of this device also includes 4GB of internal memory, complemented by a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space.

The mobile phone also comes with 3G connectivity, along with WiFi and Bluetooth capabilities, 3,5mm headphone jack, and USB port.

The phone's specs list would also include built-in GPS receiver, with support for various navigation services, as well as the usual set of sensors.

On the back, it features an 8-megapixel photo snapper with auto focus, LED flash and support for 1080p HD video recording, complemented by a front-facing camera for video calling.

The mobile phone runs under Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, with the new HTC Sense UI on top of it.

The HTC Sensation is expected to arrive in other markets around the world as well, including the UK, where it is already available for pre-order, or the US, where it would land on shelves at T-Mobile.
