HTC's success with most of their recent smartphone releases gave good reasons for this company to expect even better results in the future. The company plans on shipping 15 million such devices in the next year only.

It is quite surprising to see such high results from a company that produces high end devices, which also triggers great prices. HTC Touch, one of the most popular devices coming from this producer, has managed to reach 800,000 sold units up to this point, a fairly impressive performance, as it comes close to that of Apple's iPhone. In fact, the two handsets have been competing even before their official launch, each making the best of its advantages.

HTC preferred to make this official count at 800,000 and not wait longer for it to hit one million, as it has just announced even more evolved devices to hit the market in the near future. This includes HTC Touch Dual, HTC Shift, HTC S730 (Wings) and P6500 (Sedna) as well. All of them bring great performances that make tough competition not only for other companies, but also for their own devices that are currently out on the market.

HTC's projection of 15 million smartphones shipped next year is up to 30 percent higher than what the company predicted for this year. This makes it clear that they are on the rise and see great chances of expanding even further. HTC plans on bringing its Touch Dual phone in Europe, with launches set for Germany, the UK, France, Romania and Poland as well.

The company's share price rose by the daily 7% up-limit on the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TSE) on October 2 after the company revealed it shipped over 800,000 HTC Touch phones in only three months since its release on the market.
