HTC Touch Dual has just been released on the European market, along with some impressive performances. The smartphone integrates 3.5G wireless connectivity, a feature that few other such devices are capable of providing.

HTC Touch Dual has been already released in Japan, under the name of FOMA HT1100. That's not the only alternative name that this handset goes by, as it is also known as HTC Touch Slide or HTC Nike. Whatever it may be called, the phone brings the same impressive specifications and appealing slider adaptation of the HTC Touch smartphone.

"The HTC Touch Dual expands the HTC Touch product family and integrates 3.5G connectivity and a sliding keyboard into a slim and stylish design. This combination provides customers with the most uncompromising and intuitive touch experience available on a phone", said Peter Chou, chief executive officer of HTC. "The HTC Touch has not only changed the way people interact with their phone but it has redefined what touch means on a consumer device. HTC is committed to bringing advanced levels of technology to consumers with continuous innovation. The HTC Touch Dual is the next step forward", he further added.

The smartphone comes at 107 x 55 x 15.8 mm and 120 grams, some fairly compact sizes, when considering its performances. It runs Windows Mobile 6 Professional and also uses the TouchFLO interface that HTC is so proud of. HTC Touch Dual will also include a 2 megapixel camera and a 2.6 inch QVGA flat touchscreen, as few other slider phones bring. Moreover, connectivity will be available through Bluetooth and USB. One of the most important features about it is that it brings 3.5G wireless connectivity, that will provide top speed data transfers.

HTC Touch Dual will be available in Europe later this month. The first carriers to receive it will be Orange UK, along with France, Romania and Poland as part of its Signature Series, and in Switzerland as a non-Signature device.
