It's all about the games for the console. No naked girls on the john unfortunately

Microsoft's Xbox 360 has a magazine, PC games have one as well and so do handhelds PSP and DS (since six months ago). Recently, everyone's all over the PS3, having launched just about everywhere by now, so PS3 mags are to be heard of a lot from now on. Remember the Consoul magazine? Yup, the one with a girl sitting on the john with her panties down, on the first issue's cover. This one's not like that. Cranberry Publishing's P3Zine is only published digitally, in PDF format. The pages are enhanced with games videos and animated screenshots as well as other types of interactivity. Readers can download the magazine for free and without registration directly from the GamerZines website. It will emphasize on game reviews, reports on newly announced updates for PlayStation services, like PSN, special competitions and events and so on.

Digital publisher Cranberry Publishing has already established itself as an innovative magazine publisher within the videogames community and intends to emulate the success of its existing titles with P3Zine: "Sony's next-gen console deserves a true next-gen magazine," says Editorial Director, Dan Hutchinson. "With the digital magazines we produce leading the world in terms of design, interactivity and popularity, the European launch of the PlayStation 3 is the natural time to launch P3Zine. The first issue is our biggest issue to date and contains 45 pages of multimedia enhanced professional games journalism."

Game reviews and features are all written by professional games journalists and the first issue includes reviews of every PS3 launch game like: Resistance: Fall of Man, Motorstorm, Ridge Racer 7 and Call of Duty 3. Also, the first issue will have a top 20 most-wanted PS3 previews feature, as well as a new report on PSN. Also, the GamerZines site is running a special competition to give readers the chance to win a console for themselves and one for their friend when they recommend the magazine to other people. P3Zine will be published on a monthly basis.

That's about it. Now, don't get me wrong with what I said earlier. I'm not saying that gaming mags with naked girls on the cover are bad or anything, but gamers do need some pertinent information about their newly acquired consoles, without any distractions. No pictures have been released on the web yet.
