Offers its CLEAR service to more users

Not too long ago, leading provider of wireless broadband services, Clearwire Corporation announced the launch of its CLEAR 4G service in additional markets around the United States. According to the company, people living in Rochester and Syracuse, New York, can now benefit from all the increased speeds and the enhanced connectivity experience its WiMAX network can offer, and the same applies to users in Yakima and the Tri-Cities, Washington; in Merced and Visalia, California; and in Eugene, Oregon.

“With CLEAR, our residents now have a fast, mobile Internet connection that goes with them all around town,” said Tim Ross, regional general manager for CLEAR. “Plus, we’re proud to offer affordable plans with no limits on the amount of data customers use. No caps on usage or penalties – our customers use the Web as much as they want wherever they go – it’s that simple.”

In Rochester, CLEAR covers approximately 560 square miles, going all the way north to Lake Ontario, south to Canandaigua and Geneva, west to Spencer Port, and east to Webster. In Syracuse, CLEAR provides 4G coverage from Brewerton in the North to Nedrow, Auburn, and Cortland in the South, and from Village Green to the West, to Fayetteville and Manlius in the east. In Yakima, CLEAR extended coverage to northwest to Ellensburg and southeast to Toppenish, Sunnyside, Grandview and Prosser. In the Tri-Cities, the service is available from Benton City in the west to Hermiston and Pendleton in the east.

According to Clearwire, its 4G service is available in Merced as far north and northeast as Livingston and as far south and southwest as Merced. Chowchilla, Dos Palos and Los Banos can enjoy CLEAR coverage too. In Visalia, CLEAR provides 4G connectivity from Goshen in the northwest to Tipton in the southwest. Cities of Exeter, Farmersville, Woodlake, Lindsay and Visalia are covered as well. People in Eugene and Springfield areas can also enjoy 4G from Clearwire. The service is available along the I-5 corridor from the McKenzie River to Franklin Blvd; and from 73rd & Main in Springfield to Green Hill Road west of Eugene.

Users interested in the 4G service from Clearwire can benefit from connectivity via a series of devices, including modems, mobile devices, and 4G-embedded laptops and netbooks: - CLEAR 4G Mobile Hotspots, including CLEAR Spot 4G and CLEAR Spot 4G+, available for price tags of $99.99 and $224.99, respectively (these devices can be leased for $4.99 a month and $5.99 per month, respectively) - The CLEAR 4G+ Mobile USB, available for $114.99 (can be leased monthly for $5.99) - The CLEAR Home Modem, which can be acquired for $84.99 or leased for $4.99 monthly - Embedded 4G WiMAX Laptops, including 32 4G-ready laptops and netbooks powered by Intel Core or Atom processors
