BenQ officially launches BenQ-Siemens brand after their acquisition of the Siemens Mobile unit in 2005. Additionally, to mark the launch of BenQ-Siemens, the company unveiled today the first three products under the new name ? S68, S88 and EF81.

The BenQ-Siemens S68 features a brushed aluminum casing and is only 13mm thick. The phone has a 1.8-inch 132 x 176 display, Bluetooth, USB and EDGE technology, and 8MB of memory. The handset will available in February.

The BenQ-Siemens S88 is a 2.0MP camera phone with auto focus, 16x digital zoom and LED photo light. The handset has 16MB internal memory that can be extended via microSD card, a 2 inch OLED display, an MP3 player and Bluetooth technology. The BenQ-Siemens S88 will be available starting the first quarter of 2006.

The BenQ-Siemens EF81 is an "ultra-thin" UMTS (3G) phone with only 15.9mm thickness and looks like a 3G RAZR - serious competitor. The casing is a mix of magnesium, stainless steel and aluminium. It features a 2.2 inch, 240 x 320, 262k colors main display, a 2MP rotating camera with 5x digital zoom, on-board media player with MP3 that supports AAC+, MPEG4, RealVideo 8 and 9, h.263, and 3GPP. The phone has 64MB of RAM on board and a MicroSD slot for up to 1GB more memory. The EF81 will be available in March, but there's no information about the price.
