It's been another busy fall week at Softpedia, with the PC version of Darksiders getting a full review, alongside the high flying H.A.W.X. 2 from Ubisoft, and with a Quick Look of the zombie filled Dead Rising 2 and one aimed at Lionheart.

But we also have a Gamer Diary series for Civilization V focusing on the trials and tribulations of the French as they strive to build Utopia and we also delivered a Weekend Reading feature on starting over and an EndWeekGame piece.

On Monday Nintendo talked about the 3DS handheld and about its ability to automatically download and then install firmware updates even when at sleep, as long as it is close to a Wi Fi connection, in a move that would help players and reduce the impact of piracy.

On the same day Obsidian revealed the system requirements for the upcoming Fallout: New Vegas.

Tuesday the Nintendo 3DS was back in the headlines, with the president of the hardware company saying that titles for the new device will not cost more than the games for the available DS family, while Amazon offered the first information on a Complete Edition of Grand Theft Auto IV.

Wednesday was the day when Goldman Sachs advised Microsoft in a report to spin off the Xbox 360 division of the company in order to allow it to focus more on the video games market with Rockstar offering more information, including screenshots and trailer, for the Undead Nightmare for Red Dead Redemption.

On Thursday the Halo MMO was back in the spotlight with a senior developer at Bungie talking about how the game universe could benefit from some persistence in the coming years.

And speaking of Halo Bungie put out the first update for Reach and talked about its plans for the future of the game.

Friday was the day when Gears of War 3 talked about dedicated servers and general multiplayer details while Starcraft 2: Heart of the Swarm has been revealed as arriving in the middle of 2012.
