Chinese company ZTE is expected to launch its flagship smartphone in the next couple of weeks. The device is likely to be called Nubia Z11 and will be announced along with a miniaturized version dubbed ZTE Nubia Z11 mini.

According to a new report coming from TimeNews.co.uk, ZTE has already confirmed a launch event scheduled on April 19. Although it was previously slated for a March 29 released, the Nubia Z11 is still MIA.

However, since ZTE has already started to send invitations for the press event on April 19, we believe the Nubia Z11 could be announced two weeks from now.

What’s interesting is the fact that Nubia Z11 might not arrive alone, as ZTE plans to introduce another Android smartphone along with its flagship, the Z11 Mini.

ZTE Nubia Z11 Mini was spotted last month at TENAA, the Chinese regulatory commission, so we know a little bit about its specs. For example, the smartphone will sport a 5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution.

Also, it could be powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core processor, coupled with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory. Sadly, the phone is said to run Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system, but ZTE might launch it with Marshmallow onboard.

ZTE Nubia Z11 Mini will feature a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera with LED flash, autofocus and video recording, while in the front there should be a secondary 8-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.

21MP camera and Snapdragon 820 CPU under the hood

On the other hand, the Nubia Z11 is a little bit of a mystery at the moment. The flagship is rumored to pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

Furthermore, the handset will boast a 5.2-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution, as well as an impressive 21-megapixel photo snapper on the back.

ZTE Nubia Z11 will also come with a 13-megapixel camera in the front and it should run Android 6.0 Marshmallow right out of the box.

In the same piece of news, ZTE might also unveil the Nubia Z11 Max, but file this under rumor until the Chinese company comes forward with more information.
