ZTE is about to jump in the dual-camera setup bandwagon with the upcoming Blade V8, a smartphone that has just been leaked before its presumable announcement at CES 2017.

The Blade V8 is definitely a mid-range smartphone, but it does stand out from other devices in the same price tier thanks to its dual-lens camera setup.

The phone appeared for the first time on ZTE's official website, but it was quickly pulled. However, ZTE wasn't fast enough and the folks over at Hi-Tech Mail managed to take a few screenshots of the phone's specs and looks.

Well, when it comes to design, the Blade V8 is far from being impressive, but for a mid-range handset, it's quite decent. The same goes for the specs that have been confirmed until now.

The dual-lens camera setup on the back features a 13-megapixel camera that works alongside a much smaller 2-megapixel camera meant for capturing depth information.

But these are not the only strong points of the Blade V8. In the front, the phone packs another 13-megapixel camera for state-of-the-art selfies and video calls.

ZTE also mentioned on the phone's website that's now unavailable that the Blade V8's main camera can add DSLR-like bokeh effects to photos. The dual-camera can also capture stereoscopic 3D photos, which can be viewed in 360 degrees using VR headsets.

The Blade V8 is likely to feature a metal casing and it will come with 2.5D glass on the front side. Speaking of which, the smartphone will sport a 5.2-inch display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution.

Hardware-wise, ZTE's mid-range smartphone will be equipped with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of expandable storage.

More importantly, the phone will ship with Android 7.0 Nougat right out of the box, along with ZTE's MiFavor 4.0 UI on top.
