Chinese company Xiaomi has already scheduled a major launch event for November 24. Although we initially presumed the handset maker would unveil its next flagship smartphone, the Mi5, it looks like Xiaomi has something else in mind.

We reported a few days ago that Xiaomi teased the Redmi Note 2 Pro, an affordable phablet that, we now believe, will be announced on November 24.

But the Redmi Note 2 Pro won't be the only device to be unveiled on November 24. Xiaomi's President Lin Bin teased an image of a different device that appears to be the unannounced Mi Pad 2 tablet.

So Xiaomi fans will be pleased to know that the Chinese company plans to introduce both devices on November 24 though we don't know whether or not they will be available at the same time.

While we know quite a lot about the Redmi Note 2 Pro smartphone, there aren't too many details about Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 tablet. The slate was spotted not long ago in a benchmark, but only some of its specs are known.

Full metal body confirmed by teased image

For example, we know the Mi Pad 2 is likely to sport a 7.9-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 2048 x 1536 pixels resolution.

Furthermore, the slate is said to come equipped with a 2.24GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z8500, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory. There's no mention of microSD card slot for memory expansion, but we don't rule out this feature.

The Mi Pad 2 will come preloaded with Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system right out of the box, along with Xiaomi's MIUI on top of it.

This is everything we know about Xiaomi Mi Pad 2, but since we're less than a week away from its official unveiling, fans won't have to wait too long for the full list of features.
