14 DAY TRIAL // Xiaomi has confirmed a launch event for November 24, but the Chinese company has not offered any additional details on the device to be unveiled next week.
We reported a few days ago that Xiaomi could announce its next flagship smartphone, the Mi5, but it turns out that the company plans to introduce another device to the masses.
Xiaomi's President Lin Bin has recently posted an image of a handset that strongly resembles the Redmi Note 2 Pro, which was spotted at TENAA not long ago.
The fact that a Xiaomi official teases the launch of Redmi Note 2 Pro makes us believe that this is the smartphone the company plans to unveil on November 24.
Today, another teaser image has been published by Xiaomi, which suggests the device in question will be pretty slim.
While we don't have any information about Redmi Note 2 Pro's measurements, we do know quite a lot about its specs since the smartphone was not long ago listed at TENAA, the Chinese regulatory commission.
The slim phablet comes with fingerprint sensor, metal body
According to the info in TENAA's database, Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro should boast a large 5.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution.
The smartphone is likely to include MediaTek's 64-bit octa-core MT6795 Helio X10 processor, along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory.
There's no mention of microSD card slot, but we do know the handset will drain energy from a 3,060 mAh battery.
On the back, the Redmi Note 2 Pro is said to pack a 13-megapixel camera with autofocus, dual-tone LED flash, and video recording, while a secondary 5-megapixel selfie camera should be on the front.
The image teased by Xiaomi's President also confirms the metal body of the smartphone, as well as the fingerprint sensor right below the camera.
Software-wise, Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro will ship with Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system right out of the box, and MIUI on top of it.
