The flagship smartphone will be announced tomorrow

Xiaomi is preparing to announce a very powerful flagship smartphone tomorrow and details about the upcoming device continue to leak online. Xiaomi Mi 6 was recently benchmarked and the listing revealed a 12MP dual-camera setup on the back.

Xiaomi Mi 6 recently visited GFXBench and some details about the unannounced phone were revealed, including the fact that it will feature a 5.1-inch display with 1080 x 1920 (FHD) resolution and run the Snapdragon 835 platform with an octa-core CPU and Adreno 640 graphics processing unit.

Moreover, the smartphone will come in multiple variants that pack either 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage or 6GB of RAM and 128GB of memory. Details about the rear camera capacity were revealed, showing that the flagship will come with a 12MP dual-camera setup on the back.

Xiaomi Mi 6 and Mi 6 Plus will be announced on April 19

Xiaomi Mi 6 will also have an 8MP selfie camera and run Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box. When it comes to the battery capacity, the smartphone will draw power from a 3,200mAh battery and feature a fingerprint scanner in the front.

When it comes to ports, Xiaomi Mi 6 is expected to feature a USB Type-C port, together with speaker grills at the button, and the phone could ditch the 3.5mm headphone jack. Aside from the Mi 6, Xiaomi is also expected to announce the Mi 6 Plus tomorrow, a more powerful version of the standard model.

Battery capacity inside the Mi 6 Plus is expected to feature 4,500mAh, while the phone could have a 5.7-inch Full HD display and run the same chipset as the standard Mi 6. RAM capacity will reach even 6GB with up to 256GB of internal storage on the Plus variant, while its price could be as high as $535. The Mi 6 is rumored to cost up to $376 for the 6GB of RAM and 128GB of memory variant. The phones will make their debut in China tomorrow.
