14 DAY TRIAL // It looks like the rumors were true and Blizzard did have something important in the pipeline for World of Warcraft players. Chains of Domination is the name of the first major update for World of Warcraft: Shadowlands. The update will drop very soon and brings a lot of new content, including a new raid, new Covenant armor sets, and flight.
With the traitorous Sire Denathrius disposed of, players now have to focus on another major threat in the Shadowlands: the Jailer. In Chains of Domination, players will delve into new depths of the Jailer’s hopeless domain, seeking to understand the true nature of his malignant plans. Thanks to the restored strength of the four covenants – kyrian, night fae, necrolords, and venthyr, players will now be given new abilities that will help them hunt down the Jailer and his forces.
For starters, players will be able to use their own mounts while adventuring throughout the Maw. Also, once they finish their covenant's campaign, they will be able to fly across all four regions of the Shadowlands. However, players will not be able to fly between zones, so they will still need to use Oribos as their flight hub. The good news is the flight achievement obtained after finishing the campaign is account-wide, so once you get it, all your characters will be able to fly in Shadowlands.
More importantly, a new raid where players will encounter the true Eye of the Jailer will open with Chains of Domination. This is a 10-boss raid where players will face off old acquaintances like Kel'Thuzad, Tarragrue, as well as the Banshee Queen herself.
Also, there will be a new mega-dungeon added called Tazavesh: the Veiled Market, which is set in a bazaar of the mysterious brokers. In the new dungeon, players will battle assassins, weird-looking broker guards, an infinite pirate dragon, and other enemies, as they chase down a wayward broker before she can unleash the might of a stolen artifact. The new dungeon will only be available in mythic difficulty and offer rewards like an assortment of weaponry, pets, and even a mount.
Those who love adventuring in Torghast, Tower of the Damned will be pleased to know that a new wing will be added with Chains of Domination, where they will be fighting new enemies and try to evade deadly traps with a wide range of new powers.
Last but not least, new Covenant cosmetic armor sets will be available in the game once Chains of Domination arrives. The new cosmetic armor sets come in four different colors and can be worn by any armor type: clots, leather, mail, and plate.
