The smartphone has just been listed at GFXBench

A few unannounced Windows Phone devices have been spotted in various benchmark databases, including some Lumia smartphones that are expected to arrive in Q1 2016.

One of the most exciting is probably the HP Falcon that seems to be a high-end Windows 10 Mobile handset powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820.

The smartphone was spotted at GFXBench back in December, but we're still in the dark regarding its availability.

Today, another flagship smartphone running Windows 10 Mobile showed up at GFXBench, but this time, it looks like the device is even more powerful than the HP Falcon.

Unfortunately, there's no telling under which brand the smartphone will be launched since it's been listed as a generic Qualcomm smartphone.

This means that a certain company is now testing a powerful smartphone that might or might not be released on the market.

Moving on to specs, the phablet listed as Qualcomm MTP8996 boasts a massive 6-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution.

If you haven't guessed by now, the device comes equipped with a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, coupled with a no less impressive Adreno 530 graphics processing unit.

Could this be another Microsoft flagship?

The amount of RAM is listed as 1.5GB, but there's a high chance that GFXBench wrongly reported this value and the device will pack 4GB of RAM instead.

Also, the phablet should come with 64GB of storage inside, as well as an excellent 20-megapixel camera on the back, which can capture 4K video.

In the front, the smartphone is confirmed to feature a 12-megapixel camera with full HD (1080p) video recording. Other highlights of the device include an accelerometer, gyroscope, light sensor, and compass. There's no mention of battery or microSD card slot.

It's hard to tell what company is now testing this flagship smartphone, but we would be surprised if this were a Microsoft handset as the company is not expected to release another flagship until the second half of the year.
