Microsoft rolled out cumulative updates on Patch Tuesday for users running Windows 10 version 10240, 1511, and 1607, but the company is also trying to keep insiders up to speed, so it has provided them with some exclusive goodies too.

Windows 10 build 14393.67 is now available for Windows insiders in the fast, slow, and release preview rings, no matter if they are running the operating system on PCs or mobile devices. This version is shipped with the help of a cumulative update, so there are no new features, but only bug fixes and performance improvements.

For example, according to the official changelog that Microsoft published in the Feedback Hub, this update “addresses an issue that causes significantly reduced battery life on Windows Phone when using Bluetooth with ‘Hey Cortana’ feature enabled,” and tries to fix a bug that “prevents users from completing the out-of-box experience (OOBE) with a local account using Korean characters.”

As you can see, nothing major this time, but as always, cumulative updates are really worth installing, especially because they also include some other bug fixes and improvements to the overall performance and stability of the system.

Still waiting for the Anniversary Update

In the meantime, Windows 10 Mobile users are still waiting for Microsoft to push the go-ahead button for the Anniversary Update, as the company rolled it out on August 2 for PCs exclusively.

There were rumors that Microsoft could release the Anniversary Update on Tuesday, but Dona Sarkar, head of the Windows Insider program, explained that the Windows team needed more time to complete work on this release and added that she would let everyone know when a date for the launch was picked.

At the same time, the Windows team is also working on finalizing the first Redstone 2 builds that are expected to ship to insiders as soon as this week or the next. Still, given the fact that mobile devices haven’t yet received the Anniversary Update, they’ll be late to the party and will get these new builds subsequently.
