The development team at Naughty Dog has not yet made an official announcement about it, but it seems that Uncharted 4: A Thief's End will get a day one patch on May 10 when it is delivered globally, which upgrades the title to version 1.01 and adds a number of new features.

The information comes from the Twitter account of AllGamesDelta, who has also posted an image of the changes that are being made, although the developers are a little vague when it comes to the improvements and stability features that it introduces.

Update 1.01 for Uncharted 4: A Thief's End will deliver support for the multiplayer component of the title and will also add Encounter Select for the single-player campaign.

The bonus features added to the video game are Photo Mode, character model viewer, gameplay modes, render modes, single-player character skins, weapon selector, journal viewer and concept art galleries.

Naughty Dog has already said that it plans to deliver extensive support for both the single and the multiplayer modes in Uncharted 4: A Thief's End after launch, introducing both updates that will balance the game and eliminate some of the bugs that fans find and downloadable content that will enhance the title.

Naughty Dog is warning players to stay away from spoilers

The game director has recently taken to Twitter to explain that because there are copies of Uncharted 4: A Thief's End already in the wild and some players are posting about their experience they should try and stay away from getting info about the story or the gameplay of the title.

This is the final video game that will feature Nathan Drake as a main character and is created by Naughty Dog, chronicling his quest to find Libertalia alongside his long lost brother Sam.

The studio says that there's more emotion in this final installment than in any previous title in the series, with the protagonist set to make choices that will impact his destiny and those of the people he loves most.

Naughty Dog is introducing dialog choices during cutscenes for the first time and players will also have to battle enemies in set pieces that are made possible by the power of the new Sony console.

The video game will also offer an extensive multiplayer experience, centered around both characters and idols that made appearances in previous installments in the series.

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End will be launched only on the PlayStation 4 from Sony.
