Video game developer Naughty Dog and publisher Sony have delivered what the two companies are describing as the final trailer for Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, the final adventure of Nathan Drake that is set to be launched only on the PlayStation 4 from Sony on May 10 all over the world.

The short video reveals a little about the story of the coming title, but nothing that fans did not previously know, and also delivers a look at the some of the impressive action sequences that the are part of the title.

Naughty Dog is also conventional when it comes to the description of the new trailer, saying, "Several years after his last adventure, retired fortune hunter Nathan Drake is forced back into the world of thieves. With the stakes much more personal, Drake embarks on a globe-trotting journey in pursuit of a historical conspiracy behind a fabled pirate treasure."

Moreover, it adds that this final installment that it is creating is designed to combine the best elements of the previous installments, with a bigger focus on the way Nathan Drake needs to make choices to save his friends rather than for personal gain.

The development team explains the title will offer a new standard on the PlayStation 4 when it comes to graphics and action setpieces.

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End will get DLC after launch

The single-player campaign of the game will have a wide range of engaging moments, some of which Naughty Dog has shown off in previous trailers, and the studio is adding conversation choices during cutscenes for the first time.

Drake himself is better modeled than ever, and there are more ways to interact with the world around him.

The plan is to supplement the narrative side of the game with a deep multiplayer that allows the player to become a member of the extensive cast and fight in a variety of modes, including the recently announced Plunder, which will deliver a spin on the Capture the Flag concept.

Naughty Dog has made it clear that it wants to offer both single-player and multiplayer downloadable content for Uncharted 4: A Thief's End after launch, although it has not specified the number that it is thinking of.

The leaders of the studio have also made it clear that they will not work on another Nathan Drake experience in the future, but they will be happy if Sony chooses to collaborate with another studio to keep the franchise going.
