Gamers will see the same story regardless of choices

Developer Naughty Dog surprised a lot of fans of the series when it announced that it would be introducing a dialog system to the upcoming Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, but the studio is now making sure that gamers understand its limited nature and the fact that it will deliver nowhere the depth associated with an open world experience.

Gamers can get more details about the way the coming Nathan Drake title can be created from the panel taken from the PlayStation Experience, which explains how the team decided to create separate lines for the protagonist for some crucial interactions with other important characters.

Arne Meyer, the community strategist at Naughty Dog, states, "One of the things we’ve always said about what our philosophy is, is…How do we give you more player choices, more player agency? So, we were experimenting with this, and it felt like the right thing to do at sort of key moments…To give you a little bit more feel that you’re having a choice of what’s happening."

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will not allow gamers to change the path of Nathan Drake, and the story will continue to be a linear one as in previous installments in the series.

The system will give gamers more ways to connect to Nathan Drake, but the events that happen to him cannot be changed in any meaningful way, with player choices focused on tone.

Naughty Dog has shared a new cinematic from Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End with gamers, showing how the main character and brother Sam will interact that first time they meet each other after a long separation.

The final Drake adventure will focus on emotion and relationships

The development team has also shown a new villain that players will have to face, Nadine Ross, a female mercenary from South Africa who leads a powerful group called Shoreline, willing and able to battle Nathan Drake.

The company has caused a controversy by casting a white voice actress to play her, but Naughty Dog says that one of the strengths of the medium is that it does not require a direct connection between the real-world actor and the role.

Apparently, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End includes a white character whose voice is provided by a black actor, although he has not yet been featured in trailers.

The coming video game will focus on the sacrifices that Nathan Drake is willing to make to ensure the long-term safety of all those he loves while also trying to find a major treasure that's also coveted by a mysterious organization.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will be out only on the PlayStation 4 on March 18 of next year.

A beta period is running at the moment and giving players a chance to see the tweaks made to the multiplayer side of the third-person shooter.

Gamers can now use a variety of relics and buddies to enhance their battlefield performance, and Naughty Dog has promised that it will use feedback delivered by the fans to improve the core ideas.
