14 DAY TRIAL // Bounty Battle, the indie fighting game that we told you about earlier this year, has finally received a release date. If you're into multiplayer brawlers, you'll be happy to know that Bounty Battle is coming to PC and consoles on July 16.
What's really interesting about Bounty Battle is that it features a massive roster of characters from other indie games, including Guacamelee, Dead Cells, Darkest Dungeon, Awesomenauts, Nuclear Throne, Axiom Verge, Battle Chasers Nightwar, Death's Gambit, SteamWorld Dig, and many more.
At its core, Battle Bounty is a 2D fighter for up to four players, where you can pit your favorite indie heroes against one another. Developed by France-based studio Dark Screen Games, Bounty Battle features 30 fighters from over 20 different indie games.
Each fighter comes with their own minion companion and unique abilities. Throughout the game, players must battle across levels inspired by the fighters’ native game worlds with up to 3 other players.
As one might expect from a multiplayer game, Battle Bounty features a slew of game modes including Tournament, Versus, Challenge Mode, Tutorial and Training Room, which are meant to make it easier for players hone their skills.
Also, the game includes 16 different arenas to battle on, many of them plucked from the worlds of their fighters. Last but not least, Battle Bounty features multiple colors and palette swap options to allows players to customize their characters and fight in style.
Although the game will be released on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Switch on July 16, physical standard and Signature Edition will be launched in August.
It's now available for purchase for $50 / €50 and contains a region free copy of the game, four limited edition enamel pins featuring the fighters Atlas, Lazarus, Lilith and Tyran, numbered collector's certificate (printed with the developers' signatures), a 34-page booklet detailing the combatants featured in the game, sturdy “Sierra” box with foam inserts, and outer sleeve featuring alternative artwork.
