The development team at the Creative Assembly and publisher SEGA continue their campaign to conquer the hearts of Warhammer fans and get them interested in the new Total War title with the launch of a pretty long video that's designed to offer a full look at the campaign map and give gamers an idea of how the Greenskins play.

There are more than 16 minutes of footage for gamers to explore, and there are plenty of new details about the core mechanics of the strategy title and the way the Orcs will feel unique thanks to their units, abilities, and Waaaggh.

The new footage for Total War: Warhammer starts off by explaining the extent of the map and by suggesting that it will be significantly enlarged by two planned expansion that have not yet been named by the developers.

The focus then turns to the Greenskins and the way they deal with heroes, unit recruitment, and the development of settlements.

Gamers can watch the way a lord can be developed and prepared for both combat and other strategic missions, and they also take a peek at the kinds of characters they will be able to control.

Grimgor Ironhide, the main leader of the Greenskins, plays an important role in the video, and The Creative Assembly also delivers information about the Empire, the Vampire Counts, and the Dwarves, and the unique ways they will be able to interact with the provinces they inhabit.

One disappointing detail is that the Waaagh armies that can be obtained will be always controlled by the AI, although the player can give them some orders to target specific enemy forces.

All the footage is taken from an alpha version of the game, and there's plenty of content that is not yet final.

Total War: Warhammer has recently revealed the full roster for the Empire

The video contains no glimpse of the battles that the Greenskins can fight, which means that it is impossible for gamers to get a full look at the units that they will be able to field.

Recently, The Creative Assembly has offered fans of the universe quite a lot of details about the roster for the Empire human faction, which will include Steam tanks, demigryph riders, more classic-looking halberdiers but also units that can use grenade launchers.

Total War: Warhammer will allow players to also control the Vampire Counts, the Greenskins and the Dwarves, with a smaller number of other factions controlled by the computer.

Gamers can place a pre-order for the title to get access to a Chaos Warrior pack, which introduces a new race with its unique mechanics, two lords, and a roster of units drawn from the lore of the fantasy universe.

The faction will be controlled by the Artificial Intelligence in the core game, emerging as a powerful late game threat for all players who have managed to conquer a lot of land and subdue their rivals.

Total War: Warhammer will be offered only on the PC on April 28 of next year.
