HP is expected to unveil the so-called Windows 10 Mobile superphone Elite X3 sometime in the next few months, and details emerge more frequently as we approach the launch date.

Now according to the latest reports, there are big chances to see the Elite X3 debuting with some exclusive apps, as HP is working on some new solutions that aren’t offered to Windows 10 Mobile devices, such as Microsoft’s Lumia.

Some of these HP apps have been spotted in the store, hinting not only that this possibility is very likely, but also that we’re very close to the moment when the device will finally go live for customers.

Exclusive apps on the Elite X3

For example, one app is HP Voice Recorder, which does exactly what its name suggests: it records your voice using the built-in microphones. Judging from the screenshots posted in the Windows Store, the app was designed to be really easy to use, so it all comes down to tapping a microphone icon to start recording.

HP Device Hub is another app that could be offered on the Elite X3 as pre-installed, and it’s very likely to act as the central app for everything HP, providing users with access to news, apps, offers and pretty much everything the company could have to share on its products.

The HP Elite X3 Windows 10 Mobile superphone was first unveiled this year at MWC in Barcelona and is expected to launch in the summer, just after Microsoft takes the wraps off the Redstone update for PC and mobile.

The X3 will come with a 5.96-inch display and be powered by a Snapdragon 820 processor coupled with 4 GB of RAM. The device will come with 64 GB of storage space, but just like most Windows 10 Mobile devices, microSD card support will also be offered.
