Sony announced late last month an important PlayStation 5 dubbed “Future of Gaming,” but the Japanese company postponed the event due to the events happening in the United States. Earlier this week, Sony confirmed that its PlayStation 5 event has been rescheduled for June 11.

So, if you've been anxiously waited to see what's coming for gamers in the months ahead, you'll have to tune in on June 11 at 1:00 pm Pacific / 9 pm BST on PlayStation official YouTube channel. The announcement published this week mentions that this is a pre-taped program that will be broadcast at 1080p and 30 frames per second.

The COVID-19 pandemic forced people to work from home, hence the reason the show has been pre-recorded. Although most of the PlayStation 5 games that will be showcased tomorrow benefit from 4K support, we'll only be able to see them in 1080p resolution.

Sony also advises PlayStation fans to watch the gaming event while wearing headphones because “there's some cool audio work in the show,” so for a more immersive experience it's would be better to wear of pair of decent headphones.

This digital showcase will run for a bit more than an hour and, for the first time, we will all be together virtually experiencing the excitement together. A lack of physical events has given us an amazing opportunity to think differently and bring you on this journey with us, and hopefully, closer than ever before. This is part of our series of PS5 updates and, rest assured, after next week’s showcase, we will still have much to share with you,” said Jim Ryan, President & CEO, Sony Interactive Entertainment.

Besides getting to see what PlayStation 5 games we'll be able to play this year, we'll most likely learn how much the upcoming console will cost and when exactly it will be launched on the market.
