Xiaomi’s flagship smartphone, the Mi 5 has already proven to be among the most popular handsets launched this year. With many millions of units sold in less than a week, Xiaomi Mi 5 seems to be another successful smartphone launched by the Chinese company.

But Xiaomi won’t stop here, as the next high-end smartphone coming under its brand will be even more powerful than the Mi 5, at least according to the latest rumors.

Some of you might be aware of the fact that Xiaomi plans to launch a Mi Note sequel, on the company’s popular phablets. Since some Xiaomi fans had been disappointed by the fact that the Mi 5 doesn’t come with a Quad HD display, the Chinese handset vendor will make this feature available in the Mi Note 2.

The folks over at AndroidHeadlines report Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will be a real beast thanks to a Qualcomm Snapdragon 823 processor inside. The latter might be a slightly higher-clocked version of the Snapdragon 820, but the information hasn’t been confirmed yet.

Sony IMX295 camera sensor, generous 3,600 mAh battery

As mentioned earlier, Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will boast a stunning 5.7-inch dual-curved Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution display, as well as a decent 3,600 mAh battery.

The phablet will pack either 4GB RAM or 6GB RAM, depending on the model. It will also be available in multiple versions, including 32GB and 256GB storage.

The 16-megapixel camera on the back will feature a Sony IMX295 sensor, while in the front there should be a secondary 5-megapixel selfie camera.

Design-wise, the Mi Note 2 will be made out of metal. It might also come with a fingerprint scanner, but we’re not sure of its positioning. Now the best part: Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will cost only $460 (cheapest model) outright.
