Nintendo has already delivered a surprise confirmation that it plans to launch the new NX smart gaming platform all over the world in March 2017, and it seems that gamers who are interested in the new The Legend of Zelda title will have to wait until then to get their hands on it.

The information comes from the official Twitter account of the United Kingdom branch of the company, which also explains that the release will happen at the same time on the new gaming device and on the older Wii U, for which the experience has been officially announced first.

The plan is for Nintendo to introduce more information about The Legend of Zelda during the coming E3 2016 event in June, presumably offering all the details that gamers could want about the core narrative and about the new open-like world structure that the title will use.

The company is so focused on the new project that it does not plan to have any other playable titles present on the show floor.

Nintendo has said that it wants to bring the classic Legend of Zelda gameplay to a new generation of players with the new video game and that it plans to make unique use of the capabilities of the Wii U home console, and now the NX.

Animal Crossing and Fire Emblem apps are coming soon

The official Nintendo presentation is also revealing that the Miitomo combination of video game and social platform now has more than 10 million users and that it is continuing to grow on both smartphones and tablets.

Mobile applications are also being developed, with help from DeNA, to bring both Fire Emblem and Animal Crossing on mobile devices, which should introduce a more accessible take on both franchises.

Nintendo says that both of them will be more extensive than Miitomo in terms of gameplay mechanics although no clear details have been offered yet.

The Animal Crossing app will be connected to the wider world of the series that exists on other platforms created by the company and will probably reward fans with new content and options.

Nintendo says that it wants to offer more details about the hardware associated with the NX and the hardware included before the end of the year when gamers will also get more details about the kinds of video games that are associated with the platform and their unique features.
