The Division has been a solid hit for Ubisoft so far, and the development team at Massive in charge of the multiplayer-focused shooter wants to make sure that it keeps fans occupied by delivering a big drop of new content on April 12, which will be free for gamers on all platforms.

The major change is the addition of the first Incursion, which is a big end-game mission that is similar to raids in other video games, which will challenge even players who have reached the end of the progression system.

Ubisoft also says that careful teamwork is required by those who want to finish the Falcon Lost mission and that regardless of how a group is constructed gamers will not have the benefit of any checkpoints.

Level 31 gear is required for all those interested in getting into the first Incursion, and the difficulty of the experience can be increased by those who secure some good item drops and want to get access to even cooler rewards.

Ubisoft is also adding four new major equipment sets for The Division, which comes with a new unlockable talent attached, and the list includes Sentry's Call, linked to precision, Striker's Battle Gear, for assault, Technician's Authority, designed for healers, and Path of the Nomad, which is only offered to those playing in the Dark Zone.

Ubisoft is also adding trading

The Division will add access to special rewards every week for those who complete an Incursion, and player-focused trading is also introduced to the video game, with exchanges set to take place by simply dropping items on the ground and is limited to groups.

In the free April update for the game, players will also get access to a spectator camera and to new daily and weekly missions that offer access to Phoenix credits.

In the Dark Zone, supply drops are added, which are protected by some powerful enemies, and players who get to them first will be able to use them without having to go through the extraction process.

Another free update will be launched for The Division in May and will add a new Incursion that takes place in Columbus Circle and will also introduce other tweaks for gameplay.

Starting in June the paid downloadable content for the shooter will start arriving, with the Underground update opening up an entirely new area of New York City to explore where a powerful new faction is ready for battle.
