The development team at Ubisoft is acknowledging the fact that The Division is affected by an issue that sees some players getting locked out of their account and is aiming to eliminate it as quickly as possible so that everyone can engage with the title without any sort of restrictions.

According to an official forum thread, the problem is mostly linked to the fact that players have crafted a high-end backpack and is inviting all those affected to offer a range of details, including platform, Gamertag, the details of their issue and the error codes that they are getting.

The company states, "Thanks to your input we've been able to identify the cause of the issue. We have not yet pushed a patch for this, but it's our top priority in bug fixing, and we'll deploy the solution as soon as possible. In the meantime, we would like to advise you not to attach mods on items you are not using."

Ubisoft also thanks gamers for their patience and says that it does not currently have a clear launch window for the update that will eliminate the issue although the severity of the problem probably means that it will not wait for the weekly downtime for The Division, which usually takes place on Tuesdays.

The video game is preparing for a big content drop on April 12

Ubisoft has announced that it wants to enhance significantly the game experience by adding some interesting content for all those who have reached or are close to maximum level.

The Incursion is designed to appeal to groups of players who can work together well and have at least level 31 gear and will pit them against a powerful group of enemies that can deliver some solid rewards, with the level of challenge enhanced by the lack of checkpoints.

Trading is also coming to The Division, with players able to simply drop an item that they are not interested in using on the ground to allow a friend to pick it up.

The Dark Zone is also getting access to supply drops, which are surrounded by powerful groups of enemies but have the advantage of delivering an item that can be used without having to be extracted.

Ubisoft is also planning to introduce other changes to the core gameplay mechanics of The Division, but more details are coming closer to April 12 or after the new weekly maintenance on April 5.
