It's been less than two weeks since Telegram updated its Android and iOS applications with many new features and improvements, and the company is now pushing a similar update to Windows Phone devices.

Not all the changes included in the Android and iOS versions are available in this update, but there are a few that are common to all platforms.

The new Quick Share menu that allows users to copy links to individual messages inside a channel is now available to Windows Phone users as well.

Keep in mind that these links can be sent to friends outside of Telegram, or you can just post them to other social networks. However, following this type of links will open the channel and highlight the message.

Another significant improvement over the previous versions of Telegram is Silent Messages. In case you are a channel admin, you will now be able to send “silent messages” that will not notify your subscribers.

Edit posted messages

Furthermore, developers have confirmed that they have added a new ability that enables users to place a signature under the Channel Manager Posts.

But that's not all, as the new version of Telegram for Windows Phone brings the ability to edit message channels and special groups. These messages can be edited in channels and supergroups.

In order to edit your message even after they are posted, you must tap it and then press “Edit.” Another new feature shared with the other two mobile platforms is the quick share button for robots, which makes it easier to share the links, pictures and video that you receive from bots.

If you don't have the instant messenger app yet, you can now download Telegram for Windows Phone for free via Windows Store. The application should be fully compatible with all devices running Windows Phone 8.1 and up.
