The development team at Capcom handling the launch of Street Fighter V is ready to announce the issues that it plans to deal with as quickly as possible to improve the overall game experience, before taking into account the major new features that players have been asking for.

The company does not yet have clear timetables for the delivery of updates or fixes, but it says the overall stability and performance of the title have already been improved and remain one of the core concerns.

The Steam forum post also explains that the Fighter ID corruption forum that affected a small number of PC players have been eliminated and that all those affected can now fix it by sending an e-mail with some specific data to the support branch of the company.

Street Fighter V had big online connectivity and matchmaking problems when it was first launched, but Capcom claims most of them have already been eliminated, and those improvements should be clear once the servers continue to stabilize along with demand.

Players are also advised to check anti-virus software that might be creating false positive for the executable on the PC while also offering crash reports when they face issues to make it easier for the development team to fix them in the long-term.

Capcom adds, "We realize many fans prefer to use their existing PS3/PS4 compatible Arcade Sticks on PC which are DirectInput-based, so we are actively looking into adding this feature in an upcoming patch. In the meantime, players can use popular XInput remapping tools such as the X360CE."

The company also says that it is exploring options for languages in the Steam launcher as well as more functionality for key binding in the game.

Capcom is not saying when the first major update for Street Fighter V will arrive or whether it has plans to also alter character powers or other gameplay mechanics when it is launched.

New content for the title is coming in March

Many fans of the series are saying that the game in its current state feels a little unfinished and that the developers should have asked for a little more time to make sure that all the main features work as advertised.

A March update for Street Fighter V is set to introduce the first new character, Alex, as well as opening up the in-game store that players can use to get access to more cosmetic options for their fighters and other bonus content.

In June, a free content pack will introduce a story mode to the title although it seems that it will only take around 2 hours max to finish it.

Capcom is also aiming to deliver more characters, costumes and gameplay tweaks all through the year, and all of them can be acquired by players by using a currency that can be earned in the game itself.

Street Fighter V can be played on both the PC and the PlayStation 4, and cross-platform play is one of the main selling points.
