The launch of Star Wars Battlefront is one of the biggest events of the year in the world of video games and the teams at developer DICE, and publisher Electronic Arts are saying that the first 24 hours of the game's life have gone off without any major problems.

The official support site is saying that the most widespread issue reported so far is linked to the PlayStation 4 versions of the shooter and affects those who have bought the Deluxe or the Ultimate editions.

If an error states "To use this application, you must update it. To check the download status of the update file, select [Notifications] > [Downloads]. (CE-34623-8)," gamers should simply restart their home console to actually run Star Wars Battlefront.

Some players are also reporting that they are getting stuck on the joining server, the server loading screen or during the matchmaking process, which can be solved by restarting the video game.

The issue seems to exist on the PC, the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4.

Star Wars Battlefront also has problems with dual graphic cards setups, and DICE says that the current solution is to simply disable one of them until Nvidia and AMD deliver updated graphics that solve the bug.

A smaller number of gamers also report issues with sudden crashes and content access.

Gamers should restart the video game or the console if they encounter freezes and problems with finding servers when coming out of Rest mode.

DICE and Electronic Arts are not saying when they are planning to launch a patch for Star Wars Battlefront to deal with at least some of the mentioned problems and others that the community has been mentioning.

A Season Pass is already offered for the shooter

DICE needs to move fast to eliminate any technical issues and bugs that are affecting the multiplayer-driven title because it wants gamers to remain connected with it on the long term.

A Season Pass for Star Wars Battlefront, priced at 49.99 dollars or Euro, is already offered for those who want to secure access to all downloadable content packs.

Four drops are planned all through 2016, and DICE says that players will be able to use four new heroes and villains, 16 maps linked to the four planets and play using four sets of innovative rules.

DICE also says that it wants to deliver regular updates for Star Wars Battlefront that will improve the balance and will deal with problems that the community flags.

The Season Pass also gives gamers a chance to emulate Han Solo with Shoot First emote.

Those unwilling to spend money to get DLC coming in 2016 will be able to download a free Battle of Jakku package on December 1 if they placed a pre-order and one week later if they simply own the shooter.

The content, associated with the coming Star Wars: The Force Awakens, will feature a major battle on the desert planet but will have no clear narrative connection with the coming movie.
