Heroes, spawning and more are also improved

Ever since the beta for Star Wars Battlefront was launched by developer DICE and publisher Electronic Arts, those taking part have been complaining about a range of problems associated with the title, including the unfairness of the Walker Assault mode when played on Hoth.

The two companies are announcing in a blog post that they have taken player feedback into account and plan to offer an improved balance when the game finally launches on November 17.

To make sure that Star Wars Battlefront gives the Rebels a chance to score wins, Star Wars Battlefront now features weak spots for both the AT-ATs and the AT-STs, which should provide more options to deal with them, regardless of game mode.

Mathew Everett, a community manager at the studio, says that extensive balance changes have been made to a variety of weapons, items, Star Cards and vehicles to create interesting match-ups.

When it comes to Heroes and Villains, DICE is eliminating the damage that they took over time and their power to get some health back when they took out enemies, to make sure that players feel powerful when playing them but are also vulnerable to coordinate enemy attacks.

Spawning for the Hoth environment in Star Wars Battlefront has also been improved, with different combat areas created for each side to eliminate spawn camping as a valid strategy.

Everett says that the party system is also given a boost, adding, "it will be possible to join a friend via the Xbox Friends app, and you’ll also be able to see your party friends in-game (look for green dots on the map) - but you cannot spawn on them."

Star Wars Battlefront Season Pass will deliver a range of new content

The shooter is at the moment available to all those who are using the EA Access service on the Xbox One, and players have been reporting that a day one patch is already available, designed to make a limited number of changes.

DICE says that it will closely track game data and player feedback after Star Wars Battlefront launches to make sure that the title offers a very enjoyable experience regardless of the chosen mode, map or play style.

The shooter offers a lot of depth for fans of the genre but also aims to be accessible so that fans of the movie series can jump in and get a familiar experience.

On the Xbox One, the PlayStation 4 and the PC, gamers are already able to place an order for a Season Pass, which costs 49.99 dollars or Euro.

DICE and Electronic Arts say they plan to deliver four new Heroes and Villains, 16 maps and four unique game modes in 2016 via downloadable content packs.

Gamers can also use a Shoot First emote if they plan to emulate Han Solo.

Free content is also coming to Star Wars Battlefront in the form of the Battle of Jakku DLC, arriving on December 1 for those who pre-ordered the shooter, and one week later for the rest of the community.
