Is it really worth the upgrade? You decide

With the launch of the new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, Apple is convinced it now has the most powerful smartphones soon to be available on the market.

This means that they are more powerful than all the previous iPhones the company has ever launched, so if you're looking for great performance, then you will probably have to upgrade to the new iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus.

The smaller of the iPhone 6 has been quite popular among Apple fans who can't quite get used with a large display. If you own one, then here are the main differences between the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s.

First of all, the new iPhone 6s is slightly larger, thicker and much heavier. While iPhone 6 measures 138.1 x 67 x 6.9mm and weighs 129g (battery included), the new iPhone 6s is 138.3 x 67.1 x 7.1mm in size and weighs no less than 143g (battery included).

Both smartphones feature 4.7-inch IPS LCD Retina HD displays that support 1334 x 750 pixels resolution and 326ppi. They also come with the same 1,810 mAh battery and the same amount of storage: 16GB, 32GB and 128GB.

Improved camera, better chipset

However, the new iPhone 6s packs a 12-megapixel iSight camera with f/2.2 aperture and 4K video recording, while the iPhone 6 features an 8-megapixel iSight rear-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture and full HD (1080p) video recording.

In the front, iPhone 6s comes with a 5-megapixel FaceTime HD camera, whereas the iPhone 6 has a modest 1.2-megapixel FaceTime HD camera.

Another major difference between the two smartphones is the chipset. The iPhone 6s is equipped with the new 64-bit Apple A9 chip, which is supposed to offer 70% faster CPU and 90% faster GPU performance than the A8 chip that comes inside the iPhone 6.

Connectivity-wise, both iPhones include NFC (Near Field Communication), but iPhone 6s comes with Bluetooth 4.2 support, while iPhone 6 features Bluetooth 4.0.

If you don't plan to get the new iPhone 6s with Apple's iPhone Upgrade Program, then you will have to pay $199 (16GB), $299 (64GB), or $399 (128GB) and sign up for a new two-year agreement.
