Great news for Sony fans, as the Japanese company continues to roll out Android 7.0 Nougat updates for its Xperia smartphones.

After it began the deployment of the update on the Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Plus, Sony is now getting more smartphones to Android 7.0 Nougat.

As per XperiaBlog's report, Sony has just started the rollout of Android 7.0 Nougat to both the Xperia Z3+ and Xperia Z3+ Dual smartphones. It appears that it's the same firmware number as Xperia Z5's, so you may want to look for build number 32.3.A.0.372.

It's also worth mentioning that this is a fairly sizable download, so make sure you have enough storage on your phone prior to updating. According to the cited source, you'll need to download around 1.35GB in order to upgrade to Android 7.0 Nougat.

As far as changes go, Sony states that the update brings multi-window support, so users can run two apps at the same time and switch between them by double tapping.

In addition, the Japanese company promised longer battery life thanks to Google & Xperia optimizations. Some messaging improvements have been implemented too, so expect to have more ways to tell your story with Messaging apps by sharing videos and audio with a few taps.

A brand new selfie-timer button in the front camera interface, which should make taking selfies much easier than before, is also present. Sony also included a smarter and more personal Xperia home screen, with Google Now integration.

Keep in mind that after updating to Android 7.0 Nougat, you won't be able to revert to a previous software version. Also, make sure to back up your personal data before deploying the upgrade.

Sony is rolling out the update in stages, so it will probably take a few weeks to arrive to all Xperia Z3+ and Xperia Z3+ Dual devices.
