14 DAY TRIAL // Microsoft released Windows 10 build 14342 just a few minutes ago and since it’s part of the Insider Preview program, it’s only natural to expect it to come with some bugs too.
And according to Microsoft itself, there are no less than 7 known bugs in this build for PCs and two of them affect the Feedback Hub.
For insiders, the Feedback Hub is the go-to place whenever they want to report bugs or vote for new requests, so it’s quite important to everyone for this app to work correctly in Windows 10 preview builds. But in this build, the Hub is not localized and its interface is only available in English no matter if you installed other language packs or not.
At the same time, Microsoft says that at the first launch, it takes about 20 or 30 minutes for the app to download and populate, but only if you launch it from Start. On the other hand, launching the Feedback Hub from the All apps list “will force the app to hydrate.”
What’s also critical to know is that some security apps developed by Symantec, including Norton Antivirus and Norton Internet Security, aren’t working on this new build and in case you install them, the chances are that you’re going to get a BSOD.
No more Wi-Fi Sense feature
While you can check the full list of known issues in this build in the box after the jump, there’s one more thing that you need to do about this build. Wi-Fi Sense is no longer available, as Microsoft has decided to remove it from Windows 10 preview builds.
“The cost of updating the code to keep this feature working combined with low usage and low demand made this not worth further investment. Wi-Fi Sense, if enabled, will continue to get you connected to open Wi-Fi hotspots that it knows about through crowdsourcing,” Gabe Aul, head of the Windows Insider program, explained.
This build is exclusively available to members of the fast ring and previews features that should be part of the Anniversary Update coming for Windows 10 users in July.
