The update will still be released by the end of the month

Samsung has already kicked off the rollout of Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for some of its high-end smartphones, but the upgrade is not available in all countries.

The South Korean company is likely to push the update to unlock devices, while carrier-branded Galaxy smartphones should receive Android 6.0 Marshmallow upgrades soon afterwards.

It's always been the same and it doesn't look like Samsung will change the way it delivers Android updates anytime soon. If you own the Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge or Galaxy Note 5, then you will be among the first to receive Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

The update has already been released in some countries and many Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge owners report they have successfully captured it, but no scheduler is available, so we can't say which country the update will hit next.

One thing should have happened in Australia though, as major carrier Telus confirmed Android 6.0 Marshmallow will be rolled out to Galaxy S6 edge, Galaxy S6 edge+ and Galaxy Note 5 on March 9 and March 16, respectively.

The Galaxy S6 update hasn't been delayed yet

Unfortunately, the Australian carrier has announced recently that it won't be able to comply with the deadline confirmed a while ago, which means that the long-awaited Marshmallow update won't be released on the dates mentioned earlier.

According to SamMobile, the good news is the update hasn't been delayed for too long, at least for the Galaxy S6 edge+ and Galaxy Note 5 owners.

According to the new software update schedule released by Telus, Android 6.0 Marshmallow should arrive for Galaxy S6 edge+ and Galaxy Note 5 on March 13, although it was initially scheduled for March 9.

On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy S6 edge should receive Android 6.0 Marshmallow on March 30, which is 17 days later than the initial date.

Telus hasn't offered any explanations for this delay, but hopefully, the Australian carrier won't postpone the upgrade even more.
