Samsung has just started the rollout of the Android 7.0 Nougat update for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge, but what about other devices launched by the South Korean company? Samsung hasn't yet confirmed how many smartphones and tablets will be upgraded to Android 7.0 Nougat, but it did mention a couple.

For those who don't remember, Samsung has already confirmed that aside from the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge, it will provide Nougat updates for the Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge, and Galaxy Tab S2.

The folks over at SamMobile have compiled a list of smartphones and tablets that Samsung could upgrade to Android 7.0 Nougat. Some of them haven't been confirmed yet, but there's a high chance that Samsung could release updates for these devices later this year.

First of all, the new Galaxy A3 (2017), Galaxy A5 (2017) and Galaxy A7 (2017) will surely be upgraded to Android 7.0 Nougat since they have just been released on the market. Their predecessors from the 2016 series will be updated to Nougat as well.

Furthermore, Samsung Galaxy A8, Galaxy A9 and Galaxy A9 Pro are likely to receive the update too. In addition, the Galaxy S6 and all its variations (Galaxy S6 Active, Galaxy S6 edge, Galaxy S6 edge+) have been confirmed to get Android 7.0 Nougat updates.

Last but not least, the Galaxy J5 (2016) and Galaxy J7 (2016) could also be included on the list of phones to be upgraded to Nougat, but they haven't been confirmed by Samsung yet.

However, based on the fact that its predecessors have been updated from Lollipop to Marshmallow, SamMobile assumes the new ones will get the update too.

Obviously, the list includes the unlocked versions of these phones, as carrier-branded units are tied to network operators and the rollout will depend on them.

It remains to be seen when exactly these device will receive Android 7.0 Nougat updates, so stay tuned.
