No new details about the phone have been revealed

Although the Galaxy S8 is not among the phones to be showcased at Mobile World Congress (MWC) this year, Samsung didn't want to leave its fans up in the air. Besides the Galaxy Tab S3 tablet that has been unveiled earlier today, the South Korean company published a 30-second video that teases the upcoming Galaxy S8.

The release of the short video teaser doesn't come as a surprise. We reported a few weeks ago that Samsung might run such a video during its MWC 2017 press conference, though we initially thought it would be slightly longer (around 1 minute).

Unfortunately, Samsung hasn't revealed anything new that we didn't already know about the Galaxy S8 and its bigger brother, the Galaxy S8+. However, there's one thing the South Korean company confirmed - if anyone needed any confirmation - and that's the date when the Galaxy S8 will be officially introduced: March 29.

Even though the smartphones will be announced in about a month from now, they won't be available for purchase until April 21. We have yet to learn when the Galaxy S8 phones will go live on pre-order.

If you've been following the news about the Galaxy S8/S8+, then you already know the smartphones will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 processor, coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal memory (expandable up to 256GB via microSD card).

Thanks to the latest leaks, we've also learned the Galaxy S8 will boast a larger 5.8-inch display with QHD+ resolution, while the Galaxy S8+ comes with an even larger 6.2-inch display with similar resolution.

Despite the fact that they have much bigger displays, the Galaxy S8/S8+ are not that much larger than the current Galaxy S7 edge model. We'll just have to wait and see the exact size of the phones.

Just like the Galaxy Tab S3 that features audio tuned by AKG by Harman, both flagship smartphones will come with AKG earphones in the retail package.
